Final Project
Congratulations! You made it to the end of the term! Your exchange is nearly complete... only a few things left to do!
You may choose any combination of the following options to earn your points, up to 60 points maximum (the first 30 attempted will be counted as homework and the remainder as extra credit). Please send your entire project in one e-mail. Only the first 60 points that you attempted will be graded. E-mail your completed project to [email protected] with the subject line "Final Project - [Your HOL ID]". So if I were sending mine in, it would say "Project- iv823" in the subject line.
The final due date for projects is January 18th, 11:59PM HOL time. Please also include your name, house, and HOL ID at the top of your e-mail. I need this info to give you your hard-earned points, so double check that it's there! I will NOT accept attachments - please send your entire application in the body of the e-mail, or else I won't grade it. If you have any questions or need help with anything, please don't hesitate to send me a HOL message (my ID is iv823) or find me on IRC. I am always happy to help! Failure to format the project properly (i.e., as stated above) will result in a warning the first time, and a 2 point penalty for any times afterwards.

Exchange Student (30 points)
When you go on an exchange, the agreement is that you will be partnered up with a student at the other school, who will show you around and hopefully be your friend, and when your time at that school is up, the exchange student will return with you or come to your school at a later time for the same experience. For this option, I want you to tell me about your Beauxbatons student! You can do this in any form you want, but it needs to be at least 300 words. You can cut that in half if you include a picture (you can draw them, create a Doll using a Doll maker site, or otherwise "graphic it"... but the picture must be original) You can format the description any way you like; point form, an interview, perhaps their application to the program (you can use the same questions from our application!), a story of a memory you two have together, or just a general description. Whatever you do, please include the following things:
Beauxbatons Schedule (30 Points)
Create a graphic representation of your own personalized schedule of a week of your exchange at Beauxbatons. Add in your classes, your study time, your extracurriculars, and at least one unique event (e.g., a celebration, a special social outing - get creative!) Be sure to include locations for all of these.
Letters to Home (30 points)
Write a letter home reflecting on your exchange. What was it like? What was your favourite part or your best memory? What did you miss about Hogwarts? Did you make new friends, or keep to yourself? Which classes did you take? Did you like the different approaches, or were they strange to you? What clubs did you join? What society were you in, and what was it like? Talk about whatever you want, but make sure it's 300 words. Again, if you include some sort of image, you can cut the word requirement in half. Possible options: make your letter into a post card! Include a photo of you and your new Beauxbatons friends. Send a photo of your favourite place to study, or your favourite celebration - anything goes! Just remember to upload it to a photo-hosting site and send me the link only.

- Their name, year, and what Society they belong to
- What they were most excited to share with you at Beauxbatons
- What you're most excited to share with them about Hogwarts
- Whether or not you two really got along - did it take some time? Were you more like roommates at best? Or were you instant best friends?
- What subjects are they good at and what subjects are they poor at?
- How do they like to spend their spare time, or what is their favourite celebration/tradition at Beauxbatons?
